What are the extensions made of?

We offer a few types of lashes. Both come in a variety of sizes and curl shapes, so you can get the custom look and feel thats perfect for you.

  • Faux mink extensions are out most popular material. They have a glossy finish and hold their curl beautifully. This type of extension is best for those who want a bold, dramatic effect.
  • Silk extensions are slighty lighter in weight than faux mink, and more flexible. If you're looking for a more natural look, or you have weaker natural lashes, silk extensions might be the best choice for you.
  • Flat/Ellipse extensions gives a dramatic and bold look, without feeling heavy on the eyes.
We'll explain the pros and cons of each during your consultation and evaluation. Each client is unique, and with us, there's no one-size-fits-all.

How are they applied?

The lashes are applied with surgical precision (really!) to your own lashes using a special medical-grade, formaldehyde-free adhesive. Because the adhesive is directly applied only to the lash itself, it never touches your skin. Each lash is carefully isolated during the procedure. Our lash artists are experts at making sure the extension lays flat and flush to your own lash, for the most natural look and confortable feel.

How often will I need "touch ups"?

You have a few options:

  1. After 2-3 weeks, come in for a touch-up to keep your lashes looking full and gorgeous. We recommend every 2-3 weeks for classic extensions, and 3-4 weeks for volume fills. You must have at least 50% of your extensions in place for a touch-up.
  2. Skip the touch-ups. Wait up to 5 weeks, and then come bak for a fresh set. Beacuse most of your extensions will have shed by this time, you'll be ready for a completely new set.
  3. Just want to look glam for a special occasion? Get a one-time application. Stop by whenever you're ready to have them removed, or just allow them to shed naturally.

How long do they last?

Since we all lose an average of 1-3 lashes daily, the extensions will last as long as your natural lash cycle. They fall off as you shed your own lashes. There's no single answer to this question, because we're all a little different. This is why we recommend coming in for touch-ups every 2-4 weeks.

I’ve heard some people have allergic reactions. Will it happen to me?

Reactions are rare, but if you’re concerned about it, just stop by a few days before your appointment. We’ll dab a “test patch” onto your skin, so you can monitor it for a few days.

We use the most skin-friendly products available. Sure, we want you to look fabulous, but your health and safety will always be our top priority.

Will the extensions damage my natural lashes?

The short answer is no. This is a common myth about lash extensions. Our process won’t make your lashes fall out faster or damage them in any way.

The longer answer is still no, but this depends on choosing a well-trained lash artist with the experience to use the correct extension for your lash.

Unfortunately, there are “dirt cheap” lash salons with inexperienced estheticians. They might not have the training and industry background to match your lashes with extensions of the correct weight and length. Applying a super-long, heavy extension to short, fine lashes can cause your lashes to fall out sooner.

Our artists are true experts, and will recommend the perfect extension for your natural lash.

How should I prepare for my first appointment?

  • Arrive with squeaky-clean lashes and eyes, and no eye makeup. Starting with clean lashes means your extensions will last longer.
  • Arrive on time. Unfortunately, we can’t add any extra time for late arrivals, because this would mean a delay for our next scheduled client.
  • Lie back and relax! We’ll handle the rest.

What’s the best way to care for my new set of lashes?

For the first 24 hours:

  • keep your lashes dry.

After 24 hours:

  • Gently pat your lashes dry whenever they get wet.

  • Use a clean, dry mascara “spooley” to brush your lashes after showering or swimming.
  • Avoid using mascara, because it can dissolve the adhesive and make your extensions fall out sooner. The truth is, you won’t need it, but if you REALLY want mascara, we do carry a type made especially for extensions.
  • Use our gentle lash cleanser every day to remove natural oils and buildup. This won’t weaken the lash adhesive, and will extend the life of your new lashes.
  • Try not to pick at your lashes or rub your eyes.
  • Don’t rub your eyes directly with a towel, tissue, blanket, or anything else. Instead, air-dry or pat (very) gently.

Do you guarantee your work?

Yes, we’re glad you asked! We stand behind our work with a 5-day policy. If you’re not happy with our products or service, just come back within 5 days, and we’ll gladly fix the problem.

Is there anyone who SHOULDN’T get lash extensions?

Most people LOVE their lash extensions and have no problems at all. However, if you fall into one of the following categories, extensions aren’t recommended for you.

  • If you rub, pull, or pick compulsively at your eyes, and don’t think you’ll be able to stop.
  • If you have a medical condition that affects the skin of your eyelids.
  • If you’re dead-set on an extremely thick, heavy lash look, but your natural lashes are thin and short.

You’ll love your new look—and all the attention your flirty new lashes will get.

What is the difference between classic and volume lashes?

  • Volume: Multiple strands of up to 5 very fine lashes are attached to each natural lash.
  • Classic: A single extension is applied to each lash.
  • Hybrid: The best of both worlds! This is a very popular option.
None of the methods are right or wrong, better or worse. Our estheticians take the time to listen and answer any questions you have, so we can choose the technique that will work best for your lashes and your personal style.
