Exploring The Many Hairstyle And Coloring Options For All Women

A females hair is what everything seems to be based off. Lustrous hair represents a confident woman that cares about her appearance, while shabby hair does not. There are plenty of hairstyles that are both flattering and accentuating to different face shapes, and likes. It may be difficult to find the perfect hairstyle, but it is not entirely impossible.

Face shape and skin tone are two very important deciding factors for hairstyles for women. Skin tone is more important for coloring, but they both go hand in hand. Some hairstyles for women will look terrible on a certain face shape, and on others it may look great. Facial bone structure is so important when considering a new hairstyle.

Flattering hairstyles and coloring can really go a long way for a woman. A flattering hairstyle can accentuate her best features, and a coloring process can enhance skin tone and make the skin appear brighter and more clear and soft. Hairstyles that are classic, such as a bob or a blunt bang, can flatter nearly any face type. Brown hair coloring can also flatter many different skin tones depending on the hue of the dye.

Since your hair is part of the fashion world too, hairstyles change with time, but also very quickly. A hairstyle and coloring that you will love for at least 3 months is recommended, but it never hurts to update your look often.

Hair coloring for women is what can make all of the difference in her face. Face framing highlights can bring out her best facial features, while low lights can make a skin tone appear more warm than it would usually. Brown colors work on all skin tones of varying hues, and blonde looks lovely on fair skinned ladies. Red also meshes well with blonde colors, to create a high fashion gradient.

Hair coloring and hairstyles for women are great when combined in one appointment. Everything can come out polished and pretty, and you get a total make over! It doesn’t matter if you are daring, or a bit on the preppy side, there are plenty of hairstyles and coloring options for women. Getting That Fresh Young Look

by Geoff Hopkins

We’ve all heard of the Fountain of Youth - that mythical spring that grants eternally supple limbs, dewy skin, and vibrant hair to all who drink from it. Unfortunately, such a fountain is only the stuff of legends, or it certainly would have been drained by now!

We would all like to recapture our youth, if not eternally at least for a time. While The Fountain may be the stuff of legend, we’ve created a variety of products designed to accomplish much the same. Anti-aging products ranging from vitamins to wrinkle creams and a host of other concoctions sell at a brisk pace as not just women but men as well try to keep their youthful looks for many years to come.

One of the hallmarks of youth is soft, smooth, moisturized skin that is free of laugh lines and creases. Since wrinkles have come to be viewed as one of the “dead giveaways” of a person’s age, manufacturers have developed many varieties of anti-aging moisturizers to launch an all-out attack on encroaching crow’s feet.

Some consumers eagerly try a number of the products which claim to satisfy our search for youthful skin. Others, most consumers perhaps, are more cautious. The ingredients of many products are well known, but many are not and how they will react with our skin is an unknown. Like the Fountain of Youth, if a product really was “the” solution, it would probably be impossible to keep it stocked on the shelves. So how do you know what, if anything, is best for you?

It’s important to know about the ingredients in various anti-aging creams before purchasing. So, why are some wrinkle creams better than the others? The active ingredient in many wrinkle creams is retinol, which is a form of vitamin A. Retinol is effective in making wrinkles less noticeable, because the skin absorbs the vitamin A and uses it to make new surface cells. It also increases the amount of collagen in the skin, which improves elasticity.

Reduction of wrinkles is one step towards achieving more youthful skin. Another popular active ingredient is alpha hydroxy acid - AHA. AHA is a peeling agent. It is present in a very low concentration to avoid damage to the skin, AHA removes the dead skin cells at the surface, exposing new cells beneath. The result is the adding of a glow that we associate with youthful skin.

So, why are some wrinkle creams better than the others? The answer is most likely found in the concentration of the active ingredients. A cream might claim to contain retinol, but it could be present in such a small amount that it would be ineffective. On the other hand, a cream with a higher percentage of retinol might well be very capable of refreshing and plumping the skin for that dewy, youthful look.

It never hurts to ask the question “Why are some products better than others? or “Which wrinkle creams would be most effective?” Asking the question leads to getting the facts you need to make a choice, second best to the “Fountain of Youth” but a good choice nevertheless.

Be Smart and Wise Up to Organic Skin Care

by Sudha Kaviraj

More and more people are choosing organic skincare products over chemical products in an attempt to be ecological and improving the quality of their health and subsequently their lives.

Our skin is the largest organ so it makes sense to take care of ourselves. Switching from a toxic range of skincare products and opting for more natural organic skin care products will increase the elasticity of our skin which is the key to maintaining youthfulness.

Some reports say a move towards natural and organic will not necessarily impact on our lives. However, there is an overriding argument that applying chemical based skincare products will age our skin. So why not preserve our youth, radiance and beauty and instead go for natural organic skin care products.

In a recent Channel 4 series, How Toxic Are You, punters were assessed on the number of chemicals consumed through the skin through the use of cleansers and moisturisers. Extraordinarily the research revealed how much we take our skin for granted and how oblivious we are of harmful gels, hairsprays, face scrubs, body moisturisers.

Chemical-wary consumers should watch for the some of the terrible nasties printed on bottles. A direct carcinogen, such has talc, has been linked with ovarian cancer. Coal tar dyes are commonly used in cosmetics and lipsticks. The words will inevitably jump out at you, words such as those ending in -nolamine and -thiazolinone. Make a note and look them up. By doing your own investigation into products that contain harmful products and comparing them with organic skincare products for example from the Organic Pharmacy, you will begin to feel the difference.

Next are the contaminants; words to look for end in -chlorine or dioxane which are found in different range of shampoos, hair conditioners, cleansers, lotions, and creams, besides household products such as soaps and cleaning products. High concentrations of surfactants or detergents such as ethoxylated alcohols, polysorbates, and laureths are both inhaled and absorbed through the skin. This is even more evidence to choose organic skin care.

Watch out for artificial colours. Blue 1 and Green 3 are shown to be the cause of cancer when applied to the skin or taken internally. Heavy metal substances are present in some artificial coal tar colours including arsenic and lead which are all carcinogenic.

Phthalates are commonly used to soften plastic which are commonly found in hair sprays, perfume and nail polishes and skin moisturisers. Research has revealed that these chemicals disrupt the hormones and are linked to premature breast development in young girls and interference with reproductive development of male foetuses. When you next go to beauty counters, there’s more reason to start your organic natural skin care routine which will reduce your chemical intake.

Parabens are a group of artificial preservatives and evidence shows them to penetrate the skin and appear in the blood and found in breast tumours. Similarly sodium lauryl sulphates which are present in skin care products are shown to be irritable to the skin, eyes and respiratory tract and may damage the liver, lungs and immune system. Glycols are linked to depression and can cause dermatitis. There are many more but these are probably the main carcinogens responsible for disrupting your body. So before you splurge out on that new lipstick or moisturiser, investigate whether there’s an organic skincare alternative.

Dry And Damaged Hair Home Remedies

No matter how hard you try, there is no way to hide dry and damaged hair. We put our locks through a lot on a daily basis. Consider the uncomfortable, drying heat from blow dryers and curling irons alone. Add chemicals that are used in perms, highlighting and coloring products. On top of all that, we have natural elements like sun and wind working against our hair.

No wonder that so many of us suffer from dry and damaged hair. Before you cut your tattered locks off, you might want to consider some home remedies and products designed to bring damaged hair back to life. Some of the items are really simple to use while others are the stuff of wives tales.

One of the tried and true home remedies for the problem is mayonnaise. Don’t do what I did and use salad dressing instead. You need real mayonnaise that contains eggs. This is the secret to addressing dry and damaged hair. After I got the right product, I found that this home remedy for troubled manes is a winner.

Okay, mayonnaise isn’t the ideal in conditioners. First of all, this treatment for dry and damaged hair doesn’t offer the best scent that you can imagine. Also, the whole process was pretty messy and generally uncomfortable. I would only use this approach if there wasn’t a real product for dry and damaged hair in sight. In other words, mayonnaise should be reserved for an emergency.

There are plenty of products on the market that offer help to dry and damaged hair. It really isn’t necessary to resort to your pantry for help. Items include deep conditioning and hot oil treatments. Some leave-in conditioners work wonders as well and they can be used before coloring or bleaching.

I love to use Alberto VO-5 Herbal Conditioner, Sun Kissed Raspberry, 15 fl oz every month right before I color my hair. Just put the product over the hair before adding the dye. The VO-5 keeps the locks from absorbing too much dye or bleach by adding a protective barrier between the two. This is a great way to keep from getting dry and damaged hair while coloring.
The best way to avoid damaging your hair is to keep things natural. However, your hair will also look pretty lame in the process of keeping it healthy. In order to create balance and heal dry and damaged hair, it is best to find a professional product designed to repair dry and damaged hair, one that you know from its reputation, and your own trial end error, that you can trust, products like Kerastase Bain Satin 2 Shampoo 250 ML (dry and damaged hair)
