Discount Cosmetics

When people are looking for a way to save money, health and beauty products are often one of the first things to go. Very few people are willing to give them up entirely. I mean, who would be? But most are willing to switch to discount cosmetics. Who doesn’t like to save a little bit of money on a cosmetics discount, after all? If you can, for example, find a perfume that imitates one of the brand names, why not get it if it smells as good as the original? Still, you have to be careful when you buy discount cosmetic products. Although many of the cosmetic discount brands are reputable, a few of them are not. Until you have tried the discount cosmetics, You have no way of knowing. Sometimes, the results can be quite disturbing.

I found this out the hard way when I got my own discount makeup. I have sensitive skin, so I stayed away from discount cosmetics for a long time. One day, however, I was in the dollar store and saw some discount cosmetics that claimed to be for sensitive skin. The fact that they were in the dollar store should have tipped me off, but I guess I was not being very logical that day.

I bought the discount cosmetics and immediately tried them out at home. The results were disastrous! I broke out all over. Not only did I have a skin rash from the discount cosmetics, but worst of all I was unable to wash them out! It took me almost an hour to get all of the dye out of my skin, and up to that point the rash kept getting worse. It was a scary experience, and definitely made me aware of the pitfalls of discount cosmetics.

Nonetheless, there are safe ways to get discounts on makeup. One of the best ways is to buy in bulk with your friends. If you all use the same cosmetic companies to supply your products, you can order together. This Regenerist Eye-Olay Eye Lifting Serum, 1oz (2 Pack) comes in a two-pack, getting you more of the skin care for your money! Most people settle on one brand of makeup, or one type that they will use for years at a time. If this is the case for you, why not save money? You can get the same price as you would on discount cosmetics, while still buying from the reputable name brands in makeup. Wouldn’t you rather pay less for your health and beauty products? I know I would!

My Lip Gloss

I can’t wear lipstick. I don’t know why, but I have never found any lipstick that looks good on me. Therefore, if I want to add a little color to my lips I have to wear lip gloss. Though I’m not too worried about the color of my lips, there are days when I look pale and drawn, and the gloss makes my face look a little more alive, and in turn I don’t feel as bad as I am feeling. The right gloss adds just a little color without making you look overly made up.

Lip gloss is always easy to apply when compared to lipstick. If you have ever tried to apply lipstick when you don’t have a mirror, you know just what I mean. With lip gloss, however, you can apply with a finger rather quickly and you don’t have to worry about having it in the wrong place or having it on your teeth. It just seems to go where you want it to go without giving it much thought. If you are wearing clear, you don’t even have to consider where it goes.

Another plus of lip gloss, at least in my experience, is that it is more portable and you don’t have to worry bout it melting like the lipstick. On the rare occasion that I have had lipstick with me in my purse, I have had a few melt into the tub on a very hot day. When I opened the tub up, there was a gooey mess there, and I had to throw it away. Lip gloss just stays in the container and won’t cause that problem because many of them are a liquid to begin with.

What I really like about lip gloss is that you don’t have to fuss about the color too much. You can get a few different colors and the shade will blend well with your lip color. You don’t want something that looks unnatural of course, but a red that goes with your coloring should be easy to find. If you like pink, the color will depend on how much of the lip gloss you put on and what the natural color of your lips might be. I like Bobbi Brown Shimmer Lip Gloss Ruby Sugar 6 (Boxed) For me, it’s an easy way to get some color with out having to fuss about it constantly. Does that make me low maintenance? If it does, someone please tell my husband that for me.
