The 4 Cs of Diamonds

Buying diamonds can be an intimidating time regardless of whether it is your first time or not. Much like wine, there are factors you are supposed to be able to understand and pick out. Most people can talk the talk, but few can walk the walk with diamonds.

For such a sought after jewel, the diamond has an odd beginning. It is essentially a large chunk of carbon that has been compressed by massive pressure deep underground for millions of years. With heat be applied, it turns into a much desired gem.

The diamonds you see in the jewelry store have nothing in common with what comes out of the ground. Diamonds found in nature are random shapes and much larger. A jeweler will then cut them to shape and buff them out so they can be used as jewelry.

Diamonds that have serious imperfections cannot be used for jewelry. Instead, they are often used for industrial tools given their hardness. A common use is as a saw blade or drill bit since they tend to be harder than anything they come into contact with.

So, what does this have to do with buying diamonds? Well, you need to know how diamonds come about to understand why you should follow the four Cs when buying a diamond. The four Cs are clarity, cut, carat weight and color.

As you can probably guess, clarity refers to the brilliance of the diamonds. Diamonds often have imperfections within their structures. These can impact their funneling of light. The few imperfections, the more clarity there is which is a good thing.

Cut refers to the reflectivity of the diamond. A diamond has certain traits and only a good cut can bring them out. A good cut is one in which light enters one side of the top of the diamond, reflects across the bottom and back out the other side.

The cut does not have anything to do with the shape of the overall diamond. It is just the location of the facets compared to the diamond overall. A rectangular, circular or whatever shape diamond can all have great or bad cuts.

When it comes to diamonds, nothing is what it seems. Our fourth C, color, does not refer to the color of the diamond. It refers to how clear the diamond is. If diamonds have a yellowish tint, they are considered to have bad color.

The final big C is carat weight. This is not to be confused with Karats, which are a measurement of gold. Carat weight refers to the number of carob seeds a diamond balances out. I kid you not! Of all the factors in evaluating a diamond, carat weight is the least important.

Putting all this together, we have one class of certified diamonds that pass the must. You cannot really go wrong with Grade G diamonds. They have quality cut, color and clarity. The size you go with is just a factor of what you can afford.

Yes, on the inside of her left forearm. It is a yellow circle containing an orange mark, a black figure of a dragon, and black Korean characters which read as “Pil Sung.” Pil Sung is a motto for Choi Kwang Do and translates as “Certain Victory.” Lynne got the tattoo to celebrate attaining her first-degree black belt in 1994.Well, I experimented with the trial versions of both GoLive 9 and DreamWeaver CS3. I gotta tell ya, I don’t like either one so I’m sticking with GoLive CS2 for now. Other than that, I’m working on a couple of commissions that came in.

What kind of lotion should I use?
Using the right lotion is crucial, as I found out with my tribal chimera tattoo on my left shoulder. Because it was so hard to reach, I didn’t put nearly as much lotion on it and it cracked and bled. Eventually it healed improperly and I have two faded spots which I have to get touched up (which I will do when I get my tribal dragon on the other shoulder). Because it had so little lotion, when I finally bought a long-handled wooden spoon to apply the lotion, I switched to Bag Balm.Yes, on the inside of her left forearm. I am often amazed by claims of companies claiming to offer the ultimate skin care product. The fact is, there is no such thing as the ultimate skin product. Because skin care products work based upon each individuals skin type, making a claim to be the best is a falsehood. The reality, when it comes to skin care products, is that what works well for one may not work at all for others.

A much better way of thinking would be to consider what skin care product is best for your skin type. While this is a better way of thinking, there are still more points to consider. For example, individuals are often categorized into different groups depending on whether they have oily skin, normal skin, sensitive skin or dry skin.

However, this classification is just too broad to be used definitively in determining the best skin care product. But really, that is what it is better is still not accurate.

So, it really comes to rephrasing the question to what is the best skin care product for me? Yes, this is exactly the question that you should be asking, and unfortunately there is no easy answer for this. Arriving at the best skin care product for self will need some effort on your part.

First of all, you need to understand how the skin care products work. This is simple. You can consider all skin care products to be composed of 2 types of ingredients Active and inactive. The active ingredients are the ones that actually work on your skin.

The primary purpose of the inactive ingredients is to aid in the delivery of the active ingredients to your skin. Both active and inactive ingredients should work in unsion to make the product effective and useful for your skin.

Costumes for belly dancing vary as widely as the music used. Different regions use different types of costumes; however they all have certain aspects in common. While regional variations do occur, for the most part, all belly dancers wear certain costume pieces. While individual use of these varies by location, some possible accessories are headbands, sleeves, and veils. Specifically in America, pants are common, as are choli tops (from India) and vests.

Not all dancers utilize belts; some have embellishments sewn directly onto their skirts. The shapes of belts vary by region, with V-shaped belts more common in Turkey, while in Egypt the belts are rectangular in the front and rounded in the back to cup the buttocks. Depending on the region in question, the bra can be either very plain cut or have decorative edges like scallops. Decoration/Fringe: Most belly dancing costumes have some sort of embellishment. If a belt is not used, however, low-end belly dancing skirts often have hip accents, including fringe, sewn right on the skirt. In America, skirts, like the dance itself, come from all over. While both circle and panel skirts of chiffon are used, they are generally utilized in layers. These belly dancing skirts are generally done in earth tones and have minimal embellishment. In fact, in the U.S. skirts are often replaced by harem pants.

If you are looking for a truly authentic belly dancing costume, you would be advised to look outside of the U.S. While costumes there may appear to be of middle eastern origin, when outfits direct from those regions are examined, it is clear that Americans have made their own, unique look; a look that, like their style of belly-dancing and like Americans themselves, comes from all over.

Above all, don’t feel guilty for making decisions about your children. Yes grand parents are very important, but you are the parent and ultimately the decisions about your child rest with you.

First things first. You should never wear your bra two days in a row. Why? The elastic portion of any bra needs at least one day to rest. So, if you wear it often the elastic will eventually give out causing the bra to lose shape. Speaking of shape, have you ever had an underwire poke through the fabric?

There is nothing more irritating than an underwire gone awry. This only happens when you wash your bras in hot water. Washing your bras in cold water will ensure that the material does not shrink keeping your underwire where it should be…underneath the material.

Our bras take a beating. One area where we do serious damage is in drying them. Bras should not be dried in a dryer. The excessive heat will warp the bra and change the shape. Air dry them for longer lifer.

Though it might seem like a pain to hand wash and hang dry your bras, this is often the best course of action. If you put all of your bras into a pile at the end of the week, you can then do one big load of bra washing. Simply swirl them around in the tub with a bit of gentle soap, rinse, and then hang them to dry.
